Take a ride on the Haunted Side
Marble Orchard Ghost Walks
Just a 15-minute drive from the breathtaking Falls, the Marble Orchard Ghost Walks showcase legends of Lewiston's past and ghostly encounters of the present. Along the way, you will "meet" spirits in person and hear their tales of tragedy, crime, mayhem and murder. Ghost walks are every Saturday in September and October, beginning at 7 p.m.
The Haunted Fortress at Old Fort Niagara
Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, NY (just 20 minutes north of the Falls), was built to control a pivotal point of entry into the U.S. during the 18th century and served as an active military post for more than 200 years. Visitors explore the very same buildings that were once occupied by Native American, French, British and American soldiers and experience what life at the Fort was actually like with live re-enactments of army drills and artisans at work. On October 15 and 22, visitors can embark on a spooky fall adventure at The Haunted Fortress at Old Fort Niagara. Tour the darkened spaces of the fort and meet spooky people from its violent past. Advanced reservations are required and available starting in September.
Hallowine Murder Mystery Weekend
Showcase your sleuthing skills as you participate in the annual Hallowine Murder Mystery Weekend on the Niagara Wine Trail, USA. Held on the weekend of Oct. 21, you can collect clues and interview a different suspect at each participating winery to solve the murder mystery. Submit your guess at the last winery to enter a drawing to win wine prizes!
Becker Farms & Vizcarra Vineyards Haunted Hayrides
Come if you dare! Becker Farms and Vizcarra Vineyards Haunted Hayrides are a Halloween tradition. Bring your friends and family - as many people as you can to protect you from the strange happenings and eerie encounters that go on in the Becker Farms forests after dark. The Haunted Hayrides are held on the weekends of Oct. 21 and Oct. 28.
Lewiston Harvest Festival and Craft Show
At the Lewiston Harvest Festival and Craft Show, more than 100 of New York State's finest crafters line the charming Center Street of the Village of Lewiston. This autumn event is complete with crafters, food vendors, farmers, wineries and live music, held Sept. 24 to 25.
Lewiston Scarecrow Festival
Lewiston businesses turn bales of straw into works of art for the Lewiston Scarecrow Festival. Throughout the month of October, scarecrows will be on display for the public for judging. From the humorous to Peoples' Choice awards, vote for your favorite ‘crow at boxes placed at each business location for only a $.25 donation.

Niagara County Peach Festival
The 59th annual Niagara County Peach Festival (Sept. 9-11) is complete with a parade, peach shortcakes, food, vendors, carnival rides and three days of stage entertainment.
NYPA Wildlife Festival
From a fishing derby to a duck-calling contest, the Wildlife Festival has it all. From Sept. 24 to 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors can enjoy multiple events and attractions including the Primate Sanctuary, Nickel City Reptiles, Hawk Creek Wildlife Center, Skyhunters Birds of Prey, AWARE animal rehabilitation center, Buffalo Zoomobile, fishing, crossbow, archery, crafts, face painting, rock climbing and more!
Becker Farms & Vizcarra Vineyards Annual Pumpkin Fiesta
The Annual Pumpkin Fiesta at Becker Farms and Vizcarra Vineyards is the perfect way to celebrate the harvest season. The Pumpkin Fiesta is a great family activity that the kids will want to return to every year. With live music from 1 to 4 p.m., and the opportunity to pick your own in-season fruit, this is an autumn event you don't want to miss! The Pumpkin Fiesta is held every weekend in September and October.
Experience the Outdoors in Autumn
At Spring Lake Winery, enjoy the Vineyard Express complete with a train ride, Medina Railroad Museum Tour, wine, dinner and live music by the lake. The Vineyard Express is held on Oct. 2, 9 and 16 from 1 to 7 p.m. VIP tickets and couples pricing are also available.
Hiking in the Niagara Gorge
Experience some of the best hiking trails in the region in the Niagara Gorge. The autumn season is the perfect time to experience the beautiful colors of Niagara's fall foliage. The peak time to see the leaves change is typically the third week of October.
