Gasport, N.Y.- From apple picking to haunted hayrides, Becker Farms and Vizcarra Vinyards offers up a bit of fall-themed fun for kids of all ages.

There’s something about apple picking, pumpkins and Becker Farms and Vizcarra Vineyards that makes you feel six-years-old again.

For me, it could be because the last time I visited the farm during the fall was likely on an elementary school field trip, but visiting Becker Farms early this week brought back a sense of nostalgia…and some fall-themed fun.

From hayrides and a corn maize to apple cider, apple picking and apple pie, Becker Farms blends a true farm experience with some modern fall-themed activities including the Castle Labyrinth, which is a haunted medieval inspired maize, haunted hayrides, great food, as well as beer and wine tastings. The Becker Farms Experience can be enjoyed by kids of all ages.

All of the above mentioned events take place each Saturday and Sunday during the fall season as part of an event called Pumpkin Fiesta. This is a terrific way to celebrate the harvest season! The great Pumpkin Fiesta is a fun family activity, which includes free live music from 1 to 4 p.m. Food is available from the café, and includes Backer Farms’ famous chicken and ribs, wine tasting $2 and beer tasting $5 are also available. Pumpkin Fiesta will be held October 15, 16, 22,23,29 and 30.

Additional events associated with Pumpkin Fiesta Include:

- Hillbilly Bob's "Pig Rock Derby" Pig Races with music, laughter and prizes for the whole family.

-The new Phylotec - the bioengineering station gone wrong!

-Pony rides around the old oak tree.

-The Tryke Track- John Deere Tricycle rentals

 - New duck races and sling shot

-Jump in the inflatable bounce house. Visit the playground and enjoy the big straw bales.

-Visit the farm animals and fish pond

If apple or pumpkin picking is something you are looking to do in the upcoming weeks, Becker Farms is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features hundreds of acres of apple orchards and a pumpkin patch. Currently, Idared, Crispin and Jonagold apples are being picked and prices vary on the amount of produce you wish to take home.

With wine and beer tasting, numerous events for children and beautiful farm vistas, a trip to Becker Farms in the coming weeks is an experience that shouldn’t be missed.
