Niagara Falls, N.Y.- "Prost" to Niagara Falls' largest Oktoberfest celebration being held along Old Falls Street on Saturday October 22.

Traditional Bavarian food, entertainment and of course, beer highlight the 2nd Annual Oktoberfest celebration being held October 22 along Old Falls Street in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls.
The Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association in cooperation with Global Spectrum have teamed up to establish an annual Oktoberfest event aimed at highlighting the offerings in downtown Niagara Falls and the investment along Old Falls Street, said DNFBA Chairman Dominic Verni.
"The DNFBA is proud to host Oktoberfest and expand our annual festival season in the City of Niagara Falls. We intend for the festival to become an annual event with a growing number of attendees, while attracting future development and entrepreneurism in the downtown area," Verni said.
The festivities will commence along Old Falls Street with a ceremonial tapping of the keg at noon by Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster and throughout the day, attendees will be able to do the polka, as live music from Buffalo's Big German Band, the German American Musicians Association and Fritz's Polka Band will be featured throughout the day.
Don't forget your lederhosen.
Traditional German foods including a variety of sausage, sauerkraut and other "German delights" will be offered, organizers said.
And about that German Beer, the event will be serving the following German specialties: Spaten Oktoberfestbier, Spaten Optimator, Warsteiner Pilsner, Samuel Adams Oktoberfest & Hofbräu Oktoberfest.
In an effort to make the event family friendly, there will be a "Kidtoberfest" Kid Zone, which will include a petting zoo, craft station and other events.
