Magicians do 1,000th show at Aquarium
July 14, 2012 at 8:24 AM
Rob and Carol Allen, Wheatfield, NY residents, brought their summer magic show to the Aquarium of Niagara 18 years ago and will celebrate their 1,000 performance Monday, July 16.
"The Mist-ical Magic" show will be included with the Aquarium's regular schedule of events. Regular admission includes a sea lion performance, visit with the penguins and meeting all of the seafarning creatures and freshwater friends. Experience the magic show at 11:20am, 1:20pm, and immediately following the sea lion shows.
Throughout the years, the Allens have entertained approximately 200,000 Aquarium members and guests.
“When we came to the Aquarium in 1994, we really didn’t know how many summer seasons we’d be staying for,” Rob said. "This show has become a summertime tradition."
This year there are new illusions andmagical routines, live animals that appear and disappear and audience participation including children from the audience.
“Rob and Carol’s talent has been a perfect match for Aquarium visitors. They are consummate professionals, and provide top-shelf family entertainment,” said Executive Director Nancy A. Chapin. “We have been fortunate to host their amazing shows for so many years.”
The Allens, sponsored by the Western New York Dairy Association, will be at the Aquarium daily except Sundays through Labor Day in the second floor Community Room. For more information, call 285-3575, Ext. 206.
