A couple of us from the office went to Sophie’s Pita and Grill at 7560 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Niagara Falls. Owned by Sophie and Joe, the restaurant serves Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. They’ve only been open for two weeks and already have seen a decent amount of customers. The couple moved to the United States from Israel about 20 years ago and up until recently owned Pita Grill in the Fashion Outlets of Niagara falls mall.
The restaurant was quaint, but very clean, and the food was delicious. We tried the Chicken Souvlaki, Chicken Vegetable Soup, and Homemade Baklava. The baklava was the best baklava I’ve ever had. I understand that’s a bold statement, but I have yet to find one better. The cost is reasonable, $5.25 for most pitas, $4.95 for salads, and $1.75 for baklava. Tell Joe and Sophie we sent ya!
On October 17th several people reported a UFO over Niagara Falls. The object didn’t move and looked like a teardrop in the sky. When lights from a nearby casino passed over the object, the UFO reflected the light. Take a look at the video and see the UFO in Niagara Falls for yourself!

The winter of 1847/1848 was unusually cold and in late March a series of warm weather and strong winds broke the Lake Erie ice up into countless floes. A monstrous ice dam formed , preventing the lake water from taking their normal path to the north. Read the rest of this entry »

When the patient couldn’t make it to Niagara Falls, Hospice of Michigan volunteers brought the Falls to the patient. Alpena, Michigan volunteer service manager, Marlon Smith had an idea to bring a Niagara Falls honeymoon to a newly married patient who was too sick to travel.
