Following is a list of available discounts to military service personnel and their families and special events taking place in Niagara USA. For all activities, bring ID with proof of status as a current or former member of the military. Happy Veterans Day!
The Aquarium of Niagara is celebrating Veterans with $1 admission all week and 10% off all gift shop purchases, beginning November 11 - 17, 2015. On November 11th and 15th, there will be a special tribute to veterans performed by trained sea lions, seals and trainers. Shows are at 12:30, 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. ID is required.
Old Fort Niagara, located in Youngstown, N.Y., will offer free admission to veterans and active military personnel with proper ID on Wednesday, November 11. Accompanying family members will receive $1 off admission that day. The Fort will be open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. with admissions ending at 4:30 p.m. on Veterans Day.
Niagara USA is a world-class fishing destination. On Wednesday, November 11, the New York State Department of Conservation has declared Veterans Day a free fishing day. Anyone can fish the fresh or marine waters of New York State and no license is required.
The Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is celebrating a Day of Heroes, November 11, and offering a free buffet at Thunder Falls Buffet to all active military members and veterans from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. To redeem, visit the Buffet and present a Military or Veterans ID card. In addition, veterans and active military will receive $10 Free Slot Play from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the Players Club with ID.
A special Veterans Day ceremony will be held on Wednesday, November 11 at the Niagara Falls Veterans Memorial at 11 a.m. The Monument is considered to be the largest all-American granite monument that is dedicated to veterans in the United States, exceeded in size only by the fine World War Two monument in Washington, DC, which employs imported granite.
The Falls will be illuminated red this evening from 5 p.m until midnight for Remembrance Day and Veterans Day.
