Artpark State park

Artpark is dedicated to presenting the finest in performing and visual arts programs. The park offers picnic facilities, hiking and cross-country skiing and access to fishing. The upper Artpark Gorge Trail offers a gradual climb to the top where it meets up with the rim trail that crosses the power plant to Devil's Hole State Park. The lower River's Edge Trail provides access to fishing by two staircases. Both trails start at the small parking area at the upper end of the park.

De Veaux Woods State Park 

De Veaux Woods offers various nature trails through a meadow and Old Growth Woods, which is dominated by white, red and black oak trees. Walk the path that leads across the Robert Moses Parkway to Whirlpool State Park with access to the Niagara Gorge Trail System.

Devil's Hole State Park

Overlooking the Devil's Hole Rapids, this is one of the more popular spots for fishing. A stone staircase leads down to the base of the gorge and the Devil's Hole Trail, which offers spectacular views of the rapids and gorge rock layers.

Fort Niagara State Park

This park has two boat launches, woodland hiking trails, swimming pools, playgrounds and a spectacular view of Lake Ontario. The park is adjacent to Old Fort Niagara. Be sure to stop at Fort Niagara's Nature Center, located adjacent to the swimming pool.

Four Mile Creek State Park

Just 15 minutes north of Niagara Falls, this park offers campsites and yurts located near the shores of Lake Ontario. The park offers hiking for campers and a modern playground.

Golden Hill State Park

Home to the Thirty Mile Lighthouse, this park offers camping, fishing, boating, shoreline hiking, nature walks and tours of the Lighthouse. The Lighthouse is available for rental year-round.

Joseph Davis State Park

Offering a variety of recreational activities. Fish, walk the nature trail or enjoy the 27-hole frisbee disc golf course. In winter, cross-country skiing/snowshoeing and snowmobiling trails are available.

Reservoir State Park

The park offers a variety of activities including tennis courts, baseball diamonds, roller hockey court, basketball courts and picnic facilities. Excellent fishing is available in the Reservoir.

Whirlpool State Park

Offering two levels -- the street level has many scenic overlooks with spectacular views of the Whirlpool and rapids. The river level offers hiking and fishing by taking the staircase located just downstream from the main park area. Access to the Gorge Stairs via Whirlpool State Park will be closed until through July.

Wilson-Tuscarora State Park

A well-preserved natural area for many varieties of plants and wildlife, encompassing 476.5 acres of mature woods, open meadows and marshland. The park offers a four-mile nature trail used for hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Fishing and picnic areas are available too, in addition to a playground.
