Singer Farm Naturals, located at 6730 Lake Road in Appleton, will be hosting a family style cookout to celebrate their recent garlic and peach harvests from noon to 5pm on Saturday, Aug. 18. Bring the family for a day at the farm!
Singer Farm Naturals is an ecologically sensitive, local enterprise specializing in organic garlic, tart cherries and cherry products. They are also a retail outlet for a variety of fruits grown at Singer Farms, including u-pick cherries and apples. The Legacy Barn, which houses their retail operation is an 1840’s barn that was refurbished using some of the finest green technology and materials available and recently won the 2011 SIPA Building Excellence Award.
The family cookout will feature products grown at Singer Farm Naturals and Singer Farms. The menu will feature a pulled pork sandwich with a variety of sides available including fresh Eden Valley corn. Vegetarian options will also be available. Plates are $12 for an adult size and $8 for children 12 years and under. There is no pre-purchase of tickets required. Food will be served on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The cookout is part of the Seasonal Suppers farm-to-table dining series benefiting Field & Fork Network, a local non-profit organization dedicated to building a thriving regional food system in Western New York.
