Experience the region's history as it comes alive while you walk the streets, view the sites, and learn about historic Main Street, the destruction and havoc of the War of 1812, the importance of the river to the growth of the farming community, our communities role as a station on the Underground Railroad, and Youngstown ghosts that still haunt homes and buildings in the village. Tours take approximately 2 hours and cover 1.5 to 2 miles. By request, the village van can be made available.
Youngstown Hauntings offers a little bit of everything, visit local cemeteries, walk along Main Street and stop in at the Ontario House to learn more about the and ghosts of Youngstown as well as the residents. Revoluntionary, War of 1812 and Civil War veterans are buried in the Universal Cemetery. Learn about 19th century burial customs and look for the Ontario House Ghost.
