Niagara Fishing

Sport fishing opportunities in Niagara are endless.  Whether it's to chase a winning fish in one of the many derbies and tournaments, held in Niagara Falls throughout the year, or simply a chance to have your family enjoy some great fishing for a wide variety of species in a scenic setting.  Fishing in Niagara has something for everyone.

Salmon, trout, bass, walleye, muskellunge...the list is a long one and trophy class potential for everyone of these types of fish.  Surrounded by the waters of the Niagara River, Lake Ontario, and the Erie Canal, Niagara County sports year-round opportunities that can be reeled in by the novice and veteran anglers alike.  Professional charters are available to meet your every need in the Niagara River or out of the ports of Youngstown, Wilson, and Olcott.

If you're land bound, there is great shore fishing in the Niagara Gorge, Burt Dam, and the lower portion of 18 Mile Creek.  Pick up a copy of the Greater Niagara Hot Spot Fishing Map to help plan your adventure.  A weekly fishing report is currently recorded at 1-877-FALLS-US.
