Trolley Route 55T serves Niagara Falls Blvd., Pine Ave. and downtown Niagara Falls USA. Guests of participating hotels ride free all day, including transfers to Metro Bus or Metro Rail. Trolley Day Passes are available at participating hotel registration desks. Day Passes are valid for use on the date punched by the Metro operator. (Other valid Metro passes can be used on the 55T Trolley.) Passengers without a Trolley Day Pass from a hotel may use the service for $1.75 per ride, which can be paid upon boarding. Children ages 5-11, senior citizens (age 65+), disabled and Medicare card holders with valid I.D. pay 75 cents. Exact change is required on trolleys and buses.

Route 55T service is offered Fridays through Sundays, from May 15 to October 12. Service will be offered seven days a week prior to June 22 and after Oct. 4. Trolleys operate from 9 a.m. until Midnight. Stops are indicated with Route 55T signs as shown on the map below.

  • Trolley Day Passes are also valid on regular Metro Route 55 buses which run between downtown Niagara Falls and hotels/motels farther out
  • Trolley stops closest to the Falls and State Reservation are on Rainbow Blvd. at Michael O’Laughlin Dr. and near Old Falls St.
  • For return trips to the Niagara Falls Blvd. hotels/motels board 55T trolleys at any of the downtown stops. Returning trolleys will have a ‘The Summit’ destination sign in the front window. Ask the trolley operator if you are not sure
  • A regular Metro bus maybe substitued for a trolley bus on occassion. Look at the route sign on the front of the bus. If it reads 55T PINE AVE and 55T TROLLEY, it is a bus running a trolley bus route.

Tavern Night 7:00pm Fort Niagara Officers Club becomes an 18th century waterfront tavern. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages are served with simple tavern fare as a cast of characters out of the pages of history entertain the guests. Doors open at. Cost is $30.00 per person. Tickets by advance sale only after January 1, 2010.

Rollin’ in the Park 10a.m.–12:00p.m. & 2-4:00p.m. Enjoy an old-fashioned trolley ride around Niagara Falls State Park along with interpretation from a Park Naturalist. Stops will be made at the Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, and Niagara Gorge Discovery Center area.Participants will receive a 25% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages the day of the program at the Hard Rock Café (Niagara Falls, N. Y., USA location, ONLY).
