Niagara Falls Weddings > Getting Married

It's Easy to Get Married at the Falls. Go to any city clerk or town clerk¹s office in New York State (including the City Clerk¹s Office at 745 Main Street at Cedar Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY ­ (716) 286-4396), which issue marriage licenses Monday ­ Friday (except for holidays) from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The fee is $40. Both parties to the license must appear together before the clerk and present at least one form of official photo identification, such as a driver¹s license. If you  have been divorced, you must show the clerk a certified copy of the most recent divorce decree issued by the court. There is no blood test or medical exam required. The clerk will hand you the marriage license, which can be used for 60 days after a 24-hour waiting period. You must give the marriage license to the minister before the ceremony.


Waiting Period: 24 hours from time of purchase.
License Valid: 60 days from issue date.
License Cost: $40.00
Locations: Must apply in person, to any town or city clerk in New York State.

Identification Required: A person is required to establish proof of ages and identity by submitting to the issuing clerk:

4. Immigration Record


Previous Marriages:
Information regarding previous marriages must be furnished in the applications for a marriage license. This includes whether the former spouse or spouses are living, and whether the applicants are divorced and, if so, when where and against whom the divorce or divorces were granted. A certified copy of the Decree of Divorce or a Certificate of Dissolution of Marriage may be required by the clerk issuing the marriage license.

Tavern Night 7:00pm Fort Niagara Officers Club becomes an 18th century waterfront tavern. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages are served with simple tavern fare as a cast of characters out of the pages of history entertain the guests. Doors open at. Cost is $30.00 per person. Tickets by advance sale only after January 1, 2010.

Stops will be made at the Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, and Niagara Gorge Discovery Center area.Participants will receive a 25% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages the day of the program at the Hard Rock Café (Niagara Falls, N.
