NIAGARA WEDDINGS - GETTING MARRIED
It’s Easy to Get Married at the Falls. Go to any city clerk or
town clerk’s office in New York State (including the City Clerk’s Office at 745 Main Street at Cedar Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY – (716)286-4396), which issue marriage licenses Monday – Friday (except for holidays) from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The fee is $40. Both parties to the license must appear together before the clerk and present at least one form of official photo identification, such as a driver’s license. If you have been divorced, you must show the clerk a certified copy of the most recent divorce decree issued by the court. There is no blood test or medical exam required. The clerk will hand you the marriage license, which can be used for 60 days after a 24-hour waiting period. You must give the marriage license to the minister before the ceremony.

License Cost: $40.00

Previous Marriages:
Information regarding previous marriages must be furnished in the applications
for a marriage license. This includes whether the former spouse or spouses
are living, and whether the applicants are divorced and, if so, when where
and against whom the divorce or divorces were granted. A certified copy of
the Decree of Divorce or a Certificate of Dissolution of Marriage may be
required by the clerk issuing the marriage license.
